Death Is the ultimate travel destination
A death doula is a person who assists in the dying process, much like a midwife does with the birthing process. It is often a community based role, aiming to help families cope with death, recognizing it as a natural and important part of life. The role can supplement and go beyond hospice. We perform a large variety of services, including but not limited to creating death plans, and providing spiritual, psychological, and social support before and just after death. Our role can also include more logistical activities, helping with services, planning funerals and memorial services, and guiding mourners in their rights and responsibilities.

Spiritual Death Ceremony
Before out physical death, we go through many cycles of death and rebirth in our lives. Our cells shed, our body changes, and our internal selves go through metamorphosis. In order to fully step into a newer version of ourselves, we must honor, acknowledge and let parts of ourselves die. A spiritual death ceremony is meant to guide you to releasing, and letting yourself die in order to be reborn.

End-of-life Support
As a certified death doula, I support the dying person and their family through the end of life process. My services include: spiritual support, liaison between the family, funeral and medical team, estate planning, and after death care for family & friends.

“I am so grateful to Alex for supporting and guiding me during a difficult part of my healing journey. I had the honor to go through a death ceremony with her. Recently I had been feeling like I was dying. I was always crying, feeling the depth of the ancestral trauma and like parts of me were being released. I knew I needed support as I navigated through this space and the universe brought me Alex. The ceremony was extremely powerful and allowed me to find peace. This ceremony supported my shift into higher consciousness. I am feeling so much better and clarity has come through. I give thanks to Alex for her medicine and hold scared space for me to heal.”
